They will release it in a broken state where you constantly run into invisible walls and where people never render, then 1 year later when people are really mad about how broken it is they will tell you that they'll fix it, but that their schedule is booked for 18 months and that you might enjoy all the new content that they'll be putting out. Hey if you don't, the new guys sure will.
And then someone will tell you that you're just in the minority and that the silent majority actually do enjoy it when their stuff is broken.

You guys remember Ultima Online? I think I had an account for that game before I started college. There was a major rift between the non-consensual PvP crowd and the Carebears. Carebears won, and the Dev Team built an entirely separate environment for Consenual PvP only. 95% of the subs stayed in Carebear land. <-- good business to service almost all of your paying customers...
And then that game turned to **** and died, GG.
